Quality Improvement
Through our Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) systems, our Department of Institutional Research and Quality Improvement strives to meet the following five goals:
- Ensure all Association programs are providing services in accordance with agency standards, governmental (state and federal) guidelines, and accrediting bodies (COA, NAEYC, CAC, etc.) standards.
- Provide mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating service outcomes in an objective and systematic manner for all Association programs.
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the CQI system on an ongoing basis.
- Provide high level research and data to support program development and a public policy and advocacy agenda
- Maintain a culture of quality at the Association by training and educating staff regarding the value of data and completing impact studies that are based in research.
Support Team
The Department utilizes the input and support of the CQI Committee in achieving departmental goals. This multidisciplinary committee meets bi-monthly and is representative of all Association programs, departments and diverse areas of service. The Management Information Systems department provides high-level technical support to ensure the work of the Department and the CQI Committee is captured in such a way that the data collected is in its purest and most valuable format, thereby providing the requisite information for improving the services provided to our clients.
